The day a faerie learns to fly, it is overwhelmed by the view of the great realm of faeries... Some return to their homes, enriched by the experience, while others cannot tear themselves loose, and remain, hovering, until their withered wings will carry them no more.

This would've looked even more beautiful if it were scanned larger.

Looks like it took you a long time to do this. Your time was well spent; the detail in this is amazingly well done.

humm this one cought my eye in the gallery , very nice sD elemental design , i really appriciate art like this , art that isnt drawn from what u see , but what u feel or w/e is on ur head or just blah , but u can see u had fun on this one no doubt :p and the movment works really well everything flows and ur eyes go allover the place the right way definatly a good job ! keep it up and draw from ur heart !!!

wow the watercolor really does add to it, (was looking at the toybox one)
how do you make the pens not bleed from the watercolor?

... I actually color the page with watercolors first and once its dry draw on top with pen. In this case, I already drew some shapes in certain colors around which I built the design. In toychest, it was more just a general green, darker in some areas and lighter in others, but no shapes as of yet, and then the pen design on top.

it looks good I've been playing with the idea of making the pen drawings with color so that's why I'm interested
